Learn how to create a group on WhatsApp 2023 easy and fast

You can create a WhatsApp group, add people after creating it, or add new contacts via a link

You can create groups with a limit of 256 people on WhatsApp. But you must be a group admin to add or remove people. So you can create a new group, add people to that WhatsApp group after creating it, or add new contacts via a link (making the group “public”). Check out all the tips in the links below and learn how to create and manage groups.

Learn how to create a group on WhatsApp

You can do this using the mobile app, WhatsApp Web or Desktop.

1. In the Chat tab of WhatsApp, tap on the chat button;
2. Select “New Group”;
3. 
4. Tap names or use search to select the contacts you want to add;
5. Then tap the arrow icon to confirm;
6. Enter a name for the group (it will be visible to all members);
7. Note 1: The group name is limited to 25 characters.
8. Note 2: You can add emoji by tapping the emoji icon.
9. Add a photo to the group by tapping Add Photo;
10. You can take a photo, choose from albums or search for an image on the Internet.

Once the group picture is set up, it will appear next to the group name in the “Conversations” tab. Press the green arrow again to finish creating your party.

If you created it, you are already the group admin. And you can add and delete contacts. If you want others to have that power, make them admins too.

Learn how to add and remove people from groups

1. Access the WhatsApp group you created;
2. Tap the three-dot menu and “group data”;
   (Or click directly on the group name).
3. Tap add participants or invite via an add link;
4. Long press the participant you want to remove and tap “remove”.

If you can’t find the person you want to invite, they may not be your contact yet. Add the person as a contact in your WhatsApp directory.

If you decide to add people using the above link method, please note that any WhatsApp user you share this invite link with will be able to join the group . Therefore, only use it with people you trust.

Invited people can share the invite link with third parties. If this happens, other people will be able to access the group without admin approval. You can also suspend the link, we explain everything in the mentioned tutorial.
