Silent Hill 2 Remake and other franchise projects

The special broadcast dedicated to presenting the new projects related to one of the most beloved game franchises began with the preview of a long-awaited project: Silent Hill 2 Remake , a 2001 title that offered the player a fixed-angle view. In addition to the updated high-quality graphics, one of the changes is in the camera, which appears to be in third person behind the protagonist’s shoulder.
The plot follows the same story as the second and most popular game in the franchise, in which James Sunderland , a man who lost his wife, Mary, to cancer, upon receiving a letter signed by the deceased, asking him to meet her in Silent Hill. , leaves for the location, where he finds everything the survival-horror classic has to offer. Including the Piramid Head , which appears briefly at the end of the trailer. It is worth mentioning that two veterans return for the remake, artist Masahiro Ito and composer Akira Yamaoka , that is, concept and score signed by the same people who took care of the original work.

The remake will be exclusive to PlayStation 5 at first, with no release date, with a Steam version also indicated at the end of the teaser. PS5 owners can now put the game on the wishlist. Silent Hill Townfall
Still quite mysterious, Konami revealed that Silent Hill Townfall is a co-production with Annapurna Interactive and independent developer No Code Studios . The game will receive more details in the future.
Silent Hill f
With Silent Hill f, Konami was kinder, bringing several details of the story, set in Japan in the 60’s. Developed by Neobards Entertainment , Silent Hill f is written by Ryukishi07, signature of a Japanese artist known for visual novels that approach mysteries of murder, psychological and supernatural terror.
Silent Hill Ascension
The third reveal was Silent Hill: Ascension , slated for 2023. This appears to be a real-time live interactive series where fans will be able to watch and make decisions together. It is in development by Genvid Entertainment.
Return to Silent Hill
The Silent Hill series will continue its expansion in a new attempt to adapt the games for the big screen. In the trailer, the director and producer of the film adaptation project, Return to Silent Hill , discuss some artistic choices to respect the original work, translating the game’s language to the big screen. The game that will be turned into a feature film is Silent Hill 2.
